Students returned to school on Aug. 5, 2024, some felt excited for the football season, some for their classes, and others were already looking forward to graduation.
“Something that I’m looking up to this year is just to get good grades and pass all my classes,” senior, Peter Olivas said.
While some are looking forward to the academics, others are excited for the extracurricular activities.
Something the seniors were ready for were the football games, as freshman, Sofia Carballo said, “I’m excited for the football games.”
Seniors also had their last first day of school, some are taking advantage of a lighter workload.
“Yes, my classes are easier now that I’m a senior” “I am mostly done with most of my classes that I need,” Catalina Campos said.
Conversely, freshmen find themselves being nervous and didn’t know what to expect for their first day of school, freshman is looking for their classes and had been getting lost. Some students are nervous and shy.
“I been getting lost in many of my classes, but the staff help me find them,” Abigail Torres said. “I been so nerves to go in my classes.”
Every student is different and has different emotions it is helpful when staff and other students help each other and make the experience more helpful.
“In hard situations I would talk to someone that I trust like a friend or a teacher,” Briseida Bueno said
