“Pretty good. I pulled up some upsets of people who are really tired than me. So hopefully I can keep the upset streak going and just have a good season.”
Q: What are some of your personal goals for this upcoming season?
“I think my personal goal is to help our team finally get past Lubbock High School, that’s going to be our biggest competition. So if I can, if I can do my share, then that’ll be great.”
Q: Does certain types of equipment affect how you play the game?
“I would say so. You know, you need a racket to play so that definitely affects how you play. I guess using towels helps you get the sweat off so that the racket doesn’t fly to your hands. Hats block the sun, you know, so it does help a lot to have better equipment.”
Q: Do you think your team can win this fall season?
“Yeah, I think so. We’ve done really well against a bunch of the schools that we know we’re going to compete against. Yeah, I think we’re going to do great.”
Q: What schools are your biggest competition this year?
“Definitely Lubbock high when we go to play them. that’ll probably be our biggest match of the year.”
Q: How does the way you practice affect the way you play the game?
“If you’re practicing a lot and you put in good work, you know, train your fitness train every aspect. Then you’re going to perform really well in all four on all parts. And if you’re not training consistently, if you’re doing things like just for fun and just messing around, you know, it won’t, you won’t be able to perform as well as you hope to.”
Q: What are some things you can improve on this year?
“I think my serve could definitely be better,so I think that’ll be what I focus on.”
